About Serai Razavi or Caravanserai King

The Razavi Palace or the Shah’s Caravanserai or the Shah’s Palace belongs to the Safavid era and is one of the sights of Qazvin in the south of the market. The construction of Shah’s Caravanserai (Sarai Razavi) took place during the reign of King Tahmasab Safavid. This house was built in the form of two porches, and the collection of cells on two floors surrounded its rectangular courtyard. The cells in the corners of the sides are triangular and have deeper and wider arches, and brickwork decorations in the style of straw can be seen in their roofs. The central vestibule of the western porch, which is connected to the bazaar by a large door, has a brick dome with beautiful tiling. In the past, this house was in the form of a caravanserai, and it was used as a port for caravans and its camel house (caravanserai specially for camels) was used for their camels.
