Sepahdar Bagh Mansion of Qazvin was built by the order of Mohammadwali Khan Tankabani known as the Prime Minister, one of the famous personalities of the Qajar period between 1323 and 1327 AH. This mansion was used by the Russian and British soldiers during the First World War, and after that it was seized by the government like its other properties due to heavy tax debt to the government. Sepehdar’s mansion was damaged due to insufficient maintenance, which was restored in 1956 and was given to the Department of Agriculture. This building was registered on February 22, 1999 with number 2227.
The Agricultural Museum was established in Sepehdar Mansion in 2010 by the order of the Head of the Agricultural Organization according to the approval of the Council of Ministers, and its works include very old pottery, old tractors, plows, threshers, various types of sickles and saws, stone basins for cattle drinking water, etc. . Morteza Tedin is a person who worked hard for the garden and the history of agriculture in Qazvin, and the result of his efforts became an agricultural museum. In order to establish the agricultural museum, he even bought the museum equipment from his own income. Meanwhile, the city officials did not support the museum and closed it down.
After many years, the agricultural museum is still closed and the building is under the control of the agricultural jihad. After closing the museum, Morteza Tedin moved some of the items to his house and some to his farm. Interestingly, according to him, he personally paid all the expenses of the museum, even the expenses of the employees and repairs of the museum, and the museum had no financial burden for the agricultural Organization.
