Introducing Bazar women’s reservoir

The old name of Qazvin was Caspian. This city can be called the city of reservoirs. The presence of a large number of old water reservoirs has given another aspect to this city. But if we pass through Qazvin Grand Bazaar, we will see the great building. This building is called Bazar women’s reservoir. The women’s reservoir of the bazaar was built in 1844 at the current location by the order of Haj Mullah Abdul Wahab Dar al-Shafa’i.
Haj Mulla Abdul Wahab was one of the great scholars of Qazvin during the Qajar period. The entrance to the women’s reservoir of the market is located in the first part of Qazvin copper market. To enter this reservoir, you have to climb 43 steps. The entrance to the women’s reservoir of the bazaar is domed and unadorned. The roof of this building consists of ten small domes that are supported by numerous columns. Four of these columns are located in the main source of the reservoir.
The women’s reservoir of Qazvin Bazar has a capacity of about 2350 cubic meters. In the past, marketers used to get their water from this place. Five stairwells are also on the side. This reservoir is located and they are dredging it. In a corner of this building, there are dark and unprotected stairs that were the place where Mirab passed.
The women’s water reservoir of the market is the largest water reservoir in Qazvin city, which is located in the western part of Al-Nabi Mosque and in the large market of Qazvin. Today, the main door of this reservoir has been destroyed and the authorities have rebuilt a small door for it.
