About Sefidab Cave ( Qavin )

Sefidab Cave is located 1700 meters north of Sefidab village and in the heart of Sefidechmeh Mountain at an altitude of approximately 2400 meters above sea level. This cave is known as one of the sights of Qazvin due to the presence of a lot of water, many vertical corridors where the descent of some wells reaches a depth of 50 meters, young stalactites and stalagmites and cauliflower textures at different levels, which is of interest to cavers and adventurous tourists.
Geologists have estimated the age of Sefidab Cave to be between 250 and 290 million years and related to the end of the Paleozoic era, the Permian period, based on the clay limestones of the Rote Formation.
